This is such a fun activity! My lovely students enjoyed being detectives. There were six case files. One for each word problem related to addition and subtraction (2-digits). Some had the word problem in large, others had individual word problems - in case they prefered. They were into 6 groups, to work together at a case file. When they solved a problem correctly, each student earned a key.
We rotated cases until they have completed it all.
